Invitatory

Invitatory

Lord, open my lips, *
and my mouth will proclaim Your praise.

Antiphon
Ant.

The King who is to come, it's the Lord. Come, let us adore him.

Come, let us sing praise to the LORD. *
Shout with joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us enter His presence with a song of thanksgiving, *
    singing joyful songs to Him.

[ANT]

For the LORD is a great God, *
and the great king above all gods.
In His hand are the depths of the earth, *
and the mountain peaks are His also.
The sea is His for He made it, *
the dry land His hands formed.

[ANT]

Come, let us bow down and worship. *
LORDus kneel before the LORD our maker,
for He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, *
and the flock of His hand.

[ANT]

Today, will you hear His voice?
"Do not harden your hearts, *
as at Meribah and during the temptation in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested and provoked Me, *
although they were witness to My work."

[ANT]

"Forty years that generation disgusted me",
and I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, *
and they do not know my ways."
So I swore in my anger, *
"Never shall they enter into My rest."

[ANT]

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen
Alleluia

Strengthen * the failing hands, take courage, and say: "Behold our God, He comes to save us, hallelujah!"

The LORD says to my master, *
    "Sit at my right hand,
and I will make your enemies *
into a footstool for your feet."

From Zion, the LORD will extend your mighty scepter's reach, saying, *
"Rule in the midst of your enemies."

On the day of your power, your people will follow you,
    in your holy splendor, *
"With the breaking of dawn, your youth comes to you like the dew."

The LORD swore an irrevocable oath, *
"You are a priest always, in the order of King Melchizedek."

On your right is my master, *
who will crush rulers on the day of his wrath.

He will drink from the brook along his way; *
therefore he will lift up his head.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.

Praise the True God
·
UMB-EN
Antiphon
Ant.

Zion * is our strong city. There the Lord has built a wall and fortification. Open the gates! God is with us, hallelujah!

Not to us, Lord, not to us,
but to Your name give the glory, *
because of Your mercy, and Your truth.

Why do the nations say, *
    "Where is their God?"

But our God is in heaven, *
and He does whatever He wants.
Their idols are of silver and gold, *
    the work of human hands.

They have mouths yet cannot speak, *
    eyes yet cannot see,
ears yet cannot hear, *
    noses yet cannot smell.

They have hands yet cannot touch,
    feet yet cannot walk, *
and only silence comes from their throats.
The artisans who create idols will become like them, *
along with all whose faith is in them.

People of Israel, trust in the Lord; *
He is their help and shield.
House of Aaron, trust in the Lord; *
He is their help and shield.
All who fear Him, trust in the Lord; *
He is their help and shield.

The Lord remembers us *
    and will bless us;
He will bless the People of Israel, *
He will bless the House of Aaron.
He will bless those who fear the Lord, *
    the small with the great.

May the Lord increase your blessings, *
to you and all your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord, *
    maker of heaven and earth.
The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, *
but the earth He has given all children.

The dead do not praise the Lord, *
nor do any who descend into silence.
But us, we will bless the Lord, *
    in this moment and forever.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen

My Soul Magnifies
·
UMB-EN
Antiphon
Ant.

One is coming * who is mightier than me, whose sandal strap I am unworthy to untie.

My soul magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *
my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.
For He knew the humility of His servant. *
From today all generations will call me blessed.

The Almighty has done great things for me, *
    and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *
    from generation to generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm, *
and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.

He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *
    and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and sent the rich away empty.

He has given help to His servant Israel, *
and remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise made to our ancestors, *
to Abraham and His children forever.

Gloria

    and will be forever.

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

Dearest siblings, let us pray to Christ the Redeemer. Who came to save all people. Let us say with confidence:
    Come, Lord Jesus!
Lord Christ, You who took on our own flesh and, through some mystery, You made known to the world the glory of Your divinity,
    – by Your advent, give us life.
    Come, Lord Jesus!
You who took upon Yourself our weaknesses,
    – grant us Your mercy.
    Come, Lord Jesus!
You who came in humility being born a child in a manger, and redeemed the world from sin,
    – when You come again redeem us of our faults, and restore all that is broken.
    Come, Lord Jesus!
You who live and Reign over all creation,
    – out of Your goodness bring us to our eternal home.
    Come, Lord Jesus!
You who is seated at the right hand of the Father,
    – with the light of Your face, give joy to the souls of the deceased.
    Come, Lord Jesus!

Lords Prayer

Our Father, who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
    Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.
Amen

Concluding Prayer

Almighty and merciful God, do not let our preoccupation with present tasks delay us on our journey to meet your Son. * Instead, let your grace lead us into your divine wisdom from beyond ourselves. Wisdom that prepares our hearts to see Jesus, to welcome Him, and that allows us to accept His invitation to share in His life. To Him who reigns.

Blessing

May the Lord bless us,
    keep us from all evil,
and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen
