Blessed is the one who fears the LORD, *
who greatly delights in His commandments.
Their descendants will be mighty on the earth, *
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
In their houses are abundant riches, *
and their righteousness endures forever.
In the darkness a light shines for the upright, *
He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
A good person is gracious and lends, †
they conduct their affairs justly, *
and they will never be shaken.
The righteous will be remembered forever, *
they will not fear evil news.
Their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD, †
their hearts are strong, they won't be afraid, *
they will look with triumph over their foes.
He has distributed freely, and given to the poor; †
His justice endures forever, *
His horn will be exalted with honor.
The wicked will see and be furious, †
they will gnash their teeth and melt away. *
The desire of the wicked leads to destruction.

Today a great mystery * was revealed: in the Jordan River, the Creator of all things took away our sins.
Great and marvelous are your works, *
Lord God Almighty.

Lord, who will not fear you and bring glory to your name? *

Today a great mystery * was revealed: in the Jordan River, the Creator of all things took away our sins.
You yourselves know that which happened throughout Judea, starting in Galilee, after the baptism that John proclaimed. You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit, and with power. That he went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. For God was with Him.
Jesus Christ * loved us, by his blood he washed us of our sins. He made us a kingdom and priesthood for God our Father. To him be glory and power forever!
My soul ✛ magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *
my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.
For He knew the humility of His servant. *
From today all generations will call me blessed.
The Almighty has done great things for me, *
and holy is His name.
He has mercy for those who fear Him, *
from generation to generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm, *
and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.
He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *
and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and sent the rich away empty.
He has given help to His servant Israel, *
and remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise made to our ancestors, *
to Abraham and His children forever.

Jesus Christ * loved us, by his blood he washed us of our sins. He made us a kingdom and priesthood for God our Father. To him be glory and power forever!
Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.

Almighty and everlasting God, when Christ was baptized in the Jordan river, the Holy Spirit rested upon him, you solemnly proclaimed Him as your beloved Son. † Grant to all your adopted children, who are likewise born of both the water and Spirit, * that you may always help keep us in your Holy will. Through Jesus Christ.
May the Lord bless us,
keep us from all evil,
and bring us to everlasting life.
