Invitatory

Invitatory

Lord, open my lips, *
and my mouth will proclaim Your praise.

Antiphon
Ant.

BLANK

Come, let us sing praise to the LORD. *
Shout with joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us enter His presence with a song of thanksgiving, *
    singing joyful songs to Him.

[ANT]

For the LORD is a great God, *
and the great king above all gods.
In His hand are the depths of the earth, *
and the mountain peaks are His also.
The sea is His for He made it, *
the dry land His hands formed.

[ANT]

Come, let us bow down and worship. *
LORDus kneel before the LORD our maker,
for He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, *
and the flock of His hand.

[ANT]

Today, will you hear His voice?
"Do not harden your hearts, *
as at Meribah and during the temptation in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested and provoked Me, *
although they were witness to My work."

[ANT]

"Forty years that generation disgusted me",
and I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, *
and they do not know my ways."
So I swore in my anger, *
"Never shall they enter into My rest."

[ANT]

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen

They came, * Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, to make their visit to the tomb, alleluia.

The LORD says to my master, *
    "Sit at my right hand,
and I will make your enemies *
into a footstool for your feet."

From Zion, the LORD will extend your mighty scepter's reach, saying, *
"Rule in the midst of your enemies."

On the day of your power, your people will follow you,
    in your holy splendor, *
"With the breaking of dawn, your youth comes to you like the dew."

The LORD swore an irrevocable oath, *
"You are a priest always, in the order of King Melchizedek."

On your right is my master, *
who will crush rulers on the day of his wrath.

He will drink from the brook along his way; *
therefore he will lift up his head.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,

Come, * and see the place we laid our Lord, alleluia alleluia.

When Israel came out of Egypt, *
Jacob's children from a foreign people,
Judah became God's sanctuary, *
    and Israel became his dominion.

The sea flees at their sight; *
the Jordan turns back to its source.
The mountains leap like rams, *
    and the hills like lambs.

Why was it, sea, that you fled, *
Jordan, that you returned to your source,
the mountains, that you leaped like rams, *
    and the hills like lambs?

Tremble, earth, before the Lord, *
    before the God of Jacob,
who turned the rock into pools of water, *
and made waters spring forth from flint.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,

Reading

An Epistle to the Hebrews 10:12-14

But He, having offered one sacrifice for all sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time, he has been waiting until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. For by his one offering, He has perfected forever all who are sanctified.

My Soul Magnifies
·
UMB-EN
Antiphon
Ant.

You have seen me, * Thomas, and believed. Blessed are those that have not seen and yet believe, alleluia.

My soul magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *
my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.
For He knew the humility of His servant. *
From today all generations will call me blessed.

The Almighty has done great things for me, *
    and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *
    from generation to generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm, *
and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.

He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *
    and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and sent the rich away empty.

He has given help to His servant Israel, *
and remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise made to our ancestors, *
to Abraham and His children forever.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

God our Father has risen Jesus Christ from death, and Jesus is exalted to Your right hand. Hear us as we pray to you:
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.
Righteous Father, You raised Jesus from the depths of earth through the victory of the cross;
    – may all things be drawn to Him.
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.
Through the Son You exalted, You send the Holy Spirit into Your Church,
    – that Your Church may be the sacrament of unity for all people.
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.
Through water and the Holy Spirit, You gave birth to a new people:
    – give each person the faith to walk from baptism to eternal life.
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.
By the glory of Your Son, bless the poor, free the prisoner, and heal the sick,
    – so that, in Your blessings, creation will know joy.
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.
May our deceased siblings, whom You offered the Body and Blood of the glorious Christ,
    – on the final day, be a part of the resurrection.
Lord, keep your people safe within the glory of Christ.

Lords Prayer

Our Father, who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
    Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.
Amen

Concluding Prayer
