Invitatory

Lord, open my lips, *
and my mouth will proclaim Your praise.

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

Come, let us sing praise to the LORD. *
Shout with joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us enter His presence with a song of thanksgiving, *
    singing joyful songs to Him.

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

For the LORD is a great God, *
and the great King above all gods.
In His hand are the depths of the earth, *
and the mountain peaks are His as well.
The sea is His for He made it, *
His hands formed the dry land.

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

Come, let us bow down and worship. *
LORDus kneel before the LORD our maker,
for He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, *
and the flock of His hand.

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

Today, will you hear His voice?
"Do not harden your hearts, *
as at Meribah and during the temptation in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested and provoked Me, *
although they were witness to My work."

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

"Forty years that generation disgusted Me",
and I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, *
and they do not know My ways."
So I swore in My anger, *
"Never shall they enter into My rest."

Antiphon
Ant.

Come, together we'll exault the Lord.

The LORD says to my master: "Sit at My right hand"

The LORD says to my master, *
    "Sit at my right hand,
and I will make your enemies *
into a footstool for your feet."

From Zion, the LORD will extend your mighty scepter's reach, saying, *
"Rule in the midst of your enemies."

On the day of your power, your people will follow you,
    in your holy splendor, *
"With the breaking of dawn, your youth comes to you like the dew."

The LORD swore an irrevocable oath, *
"You are a priest always, in the order of King Melchizedek."

On your right is my master, *
who will crush rulers on the day of his wrath.

He will drink from the brook along his way; *
therefore he will lift up his head.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen

Israel Freed from Egypt
·
UMB-EN
Antiphon
Ant.

You brought us * out of Egypt, Lord.

When Israel came out of Egypt, *
Jacob's children from a foreign people,
Judah became God's sanctuary, *
    and Israel became his dominion.

The sea flees at their sight; *
the Jordan turns back to its source.
The mountains leap like rams, *
    and the hills like lambs.

Why was it, sea, that you fled, *
Jordan, that you returned to your source,
the mountains, that you leaped like rams, *
    and the hills like lambs?

Tremble, earth, before the Lord, *
    before the God of Jacob,
who turned the rock into pools of water, *
and made waters spring forth from flint.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen
Alleluia

Reading

The Second Epistle to the Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. Our Father comforts us amidst our every trouble. We can then give others, amidst any trouble, the same comfort we have received from God.

My Soul Magnifies
·
UMB-EN
Antiphon
Ant.

Sabbath * was made for people, and not people for the Sabbath.

My soul magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *
my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.
For He knew the humility of His servant. *
From today all generations will call me blessed.

The Almighty has done great things for me, *
    and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *
    from generation to generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm, *
and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.

He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *
    and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and sent the rich away empty.

He has given help to His servant Israel, *
and remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise made to our ancestors, *
to Abraham and His children forever.

Gloria

Glory to the Father, to the Son,
    and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now,
    and will be forever.
Amen
Alleluia

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

Let us worship Christ the Lord. Let us worship the head of our one body. We join together and play our part, when we cry with exultation:
    Lord, Your kingdom come.
Our savior, continue to make Your Church the living sacrament of unity for people,
    – and the mystery of salvation to all nations and times.
    Lord, Your kingdom come.
As our High Priest, always help those leading Your universal Church,
    – giving to them the gifts of unity, charity, and peace.
    Lord, Your kingdom come.
Help all Christians remain closely united to You as our divine Head,
    – may we proclaim Your Kingdom by the testimony of our lives.
    Lord, Your kingdom come.
Grant peace to the world,
    – so calm and safety may flourish in all places.
    Lord, Your kingdom come.
Give the glory of the final resurrection to the deceased,
    – and share with us from the overflowing of their blessings.
    Lord, Your kingdom come.

Lords Prayer

Our Father, who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
    Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.
Amen

Concluding Prayer

Lord, we appeal to you and your unfailing providence, that fulfills its purpose. * Drive away all that causes harm, and grant that all things may bless us through Jesus Christ.

Blessing

May the Lord bless us,
    keep us from all evil,
and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen
