When the Helper * comes, They will testify about Me. For I will send them to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father.

My soul ✛ magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *
    my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.
For He knew the humility of His servant. *
    From today all generations will call me blessed.

The Almighty has done great things for me, *
    and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *
    from generation to generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm, *
    and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.

He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *
    and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
    and sent the rich away empty.

He has given help to His servant Israel, *
    and remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise made to our ancestors, *
    to Abraham and His children forever.

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

We do not know what to pray for, but the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with unutterable groanings. In faith and need, we ask:
    Holy Spirit intercede for us.
Christ, divine Shepherd, give wisdom and guidance to our shepherds,
    – that they may surely lead your flock to salvation.
    Holy Spirit intercede for us.
You who dwell in the most high place and abound in mercy,
    – look after the needy and poor of your creation.
    Holy Spirit intercede for us.
Who, through the work of the Holy Spirit, was conceived by the Virgin Mary,
    – honor and preserve all who have committed to a celibate life.
    Holy Spirit intercede for us.
You, our Priest, who praises the Father in the Holy Spirit:
    – unite all people in Your praise.

May the dead enter into their glorious freedom as children of God
    – and find their bodies fully redeemed.

Lords Prayer

Our Father, who is in heaven,
